I decided to not go camping due to the 70% chance of rain and snow throughout the entire state of Utah.
Much to my surprise the birds were singing and the sun was shinning, I decided during this early morning stroll to go fishing. On the drive the clouds looked as though they were going to let loose, while gearing up it looked worse. With my luck I was thinking as soon as I start to cast here it'll come... well it never came. It stayed beautiful all day long.

The fishing was actually really good. I caught 4 fish, pricked 9, lost 3 at my feet, missed 5 off the top, and missed countless more. It was a blast. I could have done better with a partner but this was a solo run. I also know someone with more refined skills would have killed it. Stimulator, grumpy frumpy, stone flies, and my own BCW killer all produced.

The drive home reminded me of all the outdoor places I have visited in Utah, and how the drive is part of the adventure. Feeling mellow, drinking sugar, and just day dreaming. It's also fun to drive off road and get a little mud flying. It's always so much longer to drive home than to drive to the destination. I also wish I had brought my camping gear and stayed the night, but that's anytime I go somewhere outdoors and have fun.

May 11 snowboarding

Oh yeah, it's that time of year, bikini skiing time that is. Usually it's some 17 year old girl hopefully 18 that you can only look at through some deep tinted , reflective goggles. Sadly this cougar was letting it all hang out.72 degrees in the city, hell yeah I'd be driving my Porsche up to the bird if only I had one.
Forrest gets some air.

It is very near yet so far away from the end of snowboard season. October-November-December-January-February-March-April-May-and counting.
8 months of snowboarding and a good chance that June will see the lifts running again at Snowbird. Could fourth of July weekend involve the shred? Only time will tell. With a 129" base remaining it's looking very possible...
