April Weather

April golf. Started out nice and sunny with some clouds approaching from the East(?) yes the East. Then, snow storm, couldn't even see the green 205 yards away it was snowing so hard. By the second hole the sun was back out. Like they say here in Utah, there are two seasons, winter and construction season, and if you don't like the weather wait fifteen minutes.

Two of my favorites: Tying flies and drinking wine. Well actually I'd rather be doing so many other things such as fishing. Yet, you must tie or buy flies, I take the cheaper way out and tie my own nymphs. As a wise man once said "fish are stupid" and they must be since they bite my shabby flies. I wish I was as good at tying as I am at drinking wine cause anyone can drink but very few actually take the time to tie flies.

Canyonlands March 08

Southern Utah is like being in another world. It seems so far from earth. Pictures can never do it justice, truly something that needs to be experienced for ones self rather than through the eye of a Nikon. Went with 5 other people and got to test my new camping gear. New tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, stove, chair, etc, etc. For those whove been camping with me b4 you know my gear sucked and I was always cold sleeping at night.Not this time, for sure satisfied. Hiked 20-plus miles from Friday afternoon till Sunday afternoon and then back to the truck and back to work. Can't wait for the next out of town adventure.
